From the humble acorn grows the mighty oak! Inspired by this incredible process of germination, the Oak Institute offers small, one-time grants to student-run clubs that wish to engage the community and promote human rights. It is our hope that these club programs will plant the seed of human rights, nourish ideas, spread awareness, and grow the scope and impact of social justice work across campus and beyond. The programming must in some way champion the struggle for dignity, freedom, and justice of people associated with Oak’s current annual theme, or raise awareness for some other topic(s) related to human rights.
Note that applications must include a budget, even if some parts are tentative.
Applications will be reviewed by the director, assistant director, and members of the Oak Student Committee.
