Bio:

Growing up in Tacoma, WA, I became engrossed by the human rights violations happening only minutes away from my home at a local privatized detention facility. Throughout high school, I spent my summers working in Skagit Valley, hosting food banks and daycare programs for migrant farmer families affected by America’s immigration and work policies.

I have been a member of the Oak Institute since my fall of freshman year. I have found it to be a wonderful community of passionate students capable of creating change and bringing awareness towards topics not typically discussed on campus. I will now be entering my junior year, and I am super excited to see all the wonderful changes to Oak in addition to the new leadership structure! Looking forward to a great year.
